BLOG 8: Learning English in our times
Hello guys, I hope you're very well. This week is my last blog and I have to talk about the challenges of the English language for me.
Personally, I had very bad experiences learning English at school, therefore, when I had to face English at university it was very complicated, I literally started from 0 and I think that even in English 1 they expect us to have at least one base and I felt at a disadvantage. Then I realized that my biggest obstacle was in my mind, I had a type of blockage, which has not completely disappeared, but it's minor, and I think it's because I'm very ashamed.
Currently in English 4 I had a new obstacle that is the covid-19 pandemic, therefore, I didn't have face-to-face classes, however through these blogs I could meet my colleagues, while I improve and practice my writing In English, I think that commenting on other blogs allows us to stay connected while we learn, making it more enjoyable.
Definitely one of the aspects of my English that I need to improve the most is to overcome embarrassment and fear of exposure, I plan to improve this by practicing with people I trust. For me so is easier practice and learn. I think that personally should have encouraged meencouraged to participate more in classes because Professor Eric is a very kind person, he never makes fun of mistakes and makes class a very pleasant place.
Finally, I must admit that English isn't very busy in my daily life, I only use it when I review classes, write blogs and maybe in music and movies.
I say goodbye to everyone with a big hug, success at the end of the semester.
