POST 7: Changes to my study programme
Hi guys, I hope you had a good week.
Today I will tell you about some changes that might be made to the syllabus of my study programme. As I told you in some previous blogs I study geography.
The curriculum is designed in such a way that the first two years are of basic training, that is to say, more general of everything that geography includes, the following two years are of specialized training and the last year is of professional training, in total there are 5 years and personally I agree with this organization, however, I would like to have more GIS (Geographic Information System) courses because they are very useful, they require somewhat complex programs of great technology, but they are a great tool for geography.
As for the teaching methods, what stands out the most are the field trips, which allow us to clearly demonstrate what is taught in a lecture and prepare us in a better way for the reality of work.
The workload I consider to be adequate, sometimes it can feel a little heavy, but I think it is something typical of the complexity of the career, also most of the professors are understanding, after all they were also students, but there are exceptions. The infrastructure of my faculty is quite old and has some deficiencies, but in general they are a nice place to be.
In summary, I can say that although there is always room for improvement, the truth is that I am very satisfied with studying geography at this university.
